Football accumulator tips for Thursday January 19: City fancied in 6-1 fourfold

Yellow Submarine could sink Real's Spanish Cup dreams

Manchester City and Tottenham need to dust themselves off after derby defeats last weekend and they lock horns at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Thursday.

The English top flight’s sole offering is the highlight of the day’s action, with cup matches in Spain and Italy taking on a supporting role.

All bets must be placed by 7.45pm on Thursday.

Racing Post Sport's Chris Rivers has picked:

Both teams to score in Sint-Truidense v Club Brugge

Manchester City to beat Tottenham

Sint-Truidense v Club Brugge

Club Brugge have lost their way in the Belgian Pro League and are in danger of dropping out of the Champions League qualifying spots. They face a tricky trip to an in-form Sint-Truidense side in a game where both teams could find the net for the sixth Club Brugge game in a row.

Manchester City v Tottenham

Manchester City look more likely to produce a positive response to their derby defeat than an out of sorts Tottenham team. The defending champions could have beaten Manchester United on another day and can get their title campaign back on track by exposing a weak Spurs backline.

Juventus v Monza

Juventus were stunned by Serie A leaders Napoli last Friday when suffering their biggest league loss in 30 years, but can get back on track when facing Monza in the Coppa Italia. Juve have won their last five domestic home games to nil in matches all featuring less than four goals and can get revenge on a Monza side who upset them in the league last September.

Villarreal v Real Madrid

Villarreal beat Real Madrid in the league earlier this month and Los Blancos have arguably become weaker since that encounter. The injury issues are mounting for Real boss Carlo Ancelotti, while Villarreal come into this Copa del Rey tie off the back of three wins in four games since the season resumed.
