Low-scoring affairs look likely in early matches

Argentina aim to bounce back on Saturday from their disappointing 2-1 defeat to Saudi Arabia in their opening World Cup game in a crucial clash with Mexico.

Well-fancied France also play their second match, against Denmark, who have beaten Les Bleus twice already this year.

All bets must be placed by 10am on Saturday.

Racing Post football expert Joe Casey has picked:

Tunisia v Australia

Nine of Tunisia's last 12 games have gone under 2.5 goals and neither they nor Australia showed a huge amount going forward to suggest this clash will be any different.

Poland v Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia pulled off one of the biggest shocks in World Cup history in their opener, beating Argentina, but they face a Poland side whose last five games have all featured fewer than three goals and this looks unlikely to be a thriller.

France v Denmark

Denmark were held to a goalless draw by Tunisia in their opener and may struggle to get any joy out of a France side who looked strong in their 4-1 victory over Australia.

Argentina v Mexico

Argentina can pick up a crucial win in this clash. They have won eight of their last nine meetings with Mexico and should make the class difference tell.
