Newcastle vs Chelsea

Newcastle remain a dominant force at home despite some indifferent results this season, but defensive disruption could lead to a high-scoring clash with Chelsea. There have been three or more goals scored in nine of the Magpies' last 11 matches and it would be a surprise if this battle with the Blues didn't follow suit as Enzo Maresca's men bid to build on Tuesday's 3-1 EFL Cup success at Cardiff.

Preston vs Norwich 

Although sitting second from bottom in the Championship, performances have been more encouraging from Norwich and last weekend's 2-1 victory over Southampton should have restored some confidence. Both teams have scored in the Canaries' last eight games while the net has bulged at both ends in nine of Preston's last 11, hinting at plenty of excitement at Deepdale.

Southampton vs Coventry 

Southampton have reeled off four straight victories at St Mary's to help recover from a slow start in the Championship and they have scored exactly three goals in each of those wins. That firepower suggests that they can still make their presence felt in the promotion race and entertainment should continue to flow when they welcome pace-setters Coventry, who have racked up 52 goals in just 21 league games.

Bromley vs Grimsby 

A run of four wins in five has lifted Bromley to fourth in League Two and eight of their last nine matches at Hayes Lane have rewarded backers of over 2.5 goals. Expect that trend to be maintained against Grimsby - the Mariners' last four away games include a 3-2 loss at Crewe and a pair of 2-2 draws with Barrow and Swindon.
