Nigeria vs Tanzania

Nigeria were runners-up in the last Africa Cup of Nations and start their campaign to go one better against Tanzania. The Super Eagles may not be the force that they once were but they should be too strong for these opponents in this curtain-raiser.

The Taifa Stars are without a win in their last seven games in all competitions, losing and failing to score in five of them.

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace

The games are piling up for Crystal Palace, who showed signs of fatigue in a 4-1 Premier League defeat to Leeds on Saturday.

Perhaps most concerningly, they looked vulnerable at set-pieces and that is an area which Arsenal thrive.

The Gunners are fighting for the title but should be able to cruise past the Eagles to reach the semi-finals of the EFL Cup too.

Tunisia vs Uganda

Tunisia won nine and drew one of their World Cup qualifiers to book their place in North America next summer.

They have also won all five head-to-head meetings with Uganda and should be able to start their Africa Cup of Nations campaign with another success.

Uganda have only won one game at this tournament since a runner-up finish in 1978, and their recent form has been mixed. The Carthage Eagles could make their class tell.

Guimaraes vs Sporting

Vitoria Guimaraes have lost eight of their last ten head-to-heads with Sporting and another defeat is on the cards when they host Rui Borges' team, who have won 11 of their 14 league games this season and scored a whopping 38 goals in the process.

The hosts, by contrast, have only netted 15 goals – the lowest of any side in the top half of Primeira Liga – and they may struggle to lay a glove on their visitors.

Football acca FAQs

What is a football accumulator (acca)?
A football accumulator, commonly referred to as an 'acca', is a single bet that combines multiple individual bets into one. Each selection within the accumulator must win for the bet to pay out, offering higher potential returns but at increased risk compared to single bets.

Can I place an acca on different markets?
Yes, you can combine various markets in an acca, including match winners, total goals, both teams to score, and more. However, most betting platforms require that selections within an accumulator are not related to ensure the bet is valid.

What is the advantage of placing an accumulator bet?
The main advantage of an accumulator bet is the potential for higher returns from a smaller stake since the odds of each selection are multiplied together. It adds excitement to watching multiple matches, as each leg of your acca needs to be successful for a return.
