Brighton vs Fulham

These two both came up short in pursuit of European qualification last and while Brighton have doubled down with more youthful yet big-money signings, Fulham look set to stick with what they've got.

Last season, the Cottagers scored in 16 of their away games, including a 2-1 defeat at the Amex. 

That was one of a run of both teams scoring in six of Brighton's last seven home matches and more of the same looks likely on Saturday.

Blackburn vs Birmingham City

The pressure is on big-spending Birmingham to produce after coming up from League One and they were unlucky to draw their opener against Ipswich 1-1 before beating Sheffield United 2-1 in the EFL Cup.

Both teams scoring in as many games against Championship opposition is a good omen and Blackburn are due some improvement after following up their sluggish 1-0 opening defeat at West Brom with a 2-1 EFL Cup loss to League One Bradford.

Of Rovers' final six home outings last season, five saw BTTS bets land and more of the same is expected at Ewood Park. 

Barnsley vs Bolton

Barnsley look like a team to watch this season, with 14 goals scored in their three games in all competitions.

They host Bolton on Saturday and, while the Trotters' two League One matches have both finished 2-0 (W1, L1), they come in on the back of an entertaining penalty shoot-out defeat to another South Yorkshire side, Sheffield Wednesday, after the duo had drawn 3-3 in 90 minutes.

Both teams have scored in the last six head-to-heads, including the hosts' 4-1 win at Oakwell in April.

Grimsby vs Newport County

Grimsby and Newport each have four points after two games and could play out a barnstormer at Blundell Park.

The Mariners have scored three times in all three of their fixtures this season, beating Crawley 3-0 and drawing 3-3 at Harrogate in League Two before downing Shrewsbury 3-1 in the EFL Cup.

On paper, Newport's 1-0 cup exit to Millwall looks a touch tame, but a deeper dive shows there were 34 shots. That's in keeping with their previous round penalty shootout win at Barnet and BTTS efforts in drawing 1-1 with Notts County and winning 2-1 at Crawley.
