Match preview

Plymouth face a difficult task when they travel to Stamford Bridge in one of the early kick-offs but the Pilgrims’ willingness to attack may stand them in good stead against the European champions.

Plymouth have scored nine goals in their last four games and their two-up-front system accentuates the ability of their strikers.

Chelsea conceded three shots on target to Chesterfield in the last round and could be caused issues by Plymouth’s front two.

Luke Jephcott has scored eight times this season and has averaged well over a shot on target per 90 minutes throughout his young career. His potential partner up top Niall Ennis has recently recovered from injury but his pace could stretch the Blues backline.

As a result an interest is recommended on both to have a shot on target in this game, at 17-10 and 10-11.

Adam Armstrong has struggled in his first season in the Premier League, partly due to a lack of game time thanks to the emergence of Armando Broja as Southampton’s primary goal threat.

However Armstrong did score 28 goals in the Championship last year and is fancied to get on the scoresheet when he faces second-tier side Coventry.

Armstrong netted 20 times in his season with the Sky Blues and could come back to haunt his former side..

Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey may be played further forward against Tottenham as Graham Potter looks to use his pace to threaten Spurs’ left-hand side.

The youngster has averaged more than six crosses per 90 minutes when playing in an advanced right wing role and 9-1 about Lamptey picking up an assist looks overpriced.

The 20-year-old already has an assist in the Premier League this campaign and has registered 13 key passes in just eight starts, his best return.
