Leyton Orient vs Manchester City predictions

Manchester City have had the best part of a week to digest last Sunday's painful 5-1 loss to Arsenal and they can respond in the right manner with a high-scoring victory away to League One Leyton Orient in the FA Cup fourth round.

Pep Guardiola probably wants to restrict the minutes of players in line to start Tuesday's Champions League playoff round, first leg at home to Real Madrid, but will also be keen to minimise risks of an FA Cup upset and has plenty of options at his disposal.

Experienced trio Kevin De Bruyne, Jack Grealish and Ilkay Gundogan were among the players left out of the starting line-up at the Emirates and there will be some talented youngsters on show, including James McAtee, who helped himself to a hat-trick as City started their FA Cup campaign with an 8-0 victory at home to League Two Salford.

Leyton Orient manager Richie Wellens will be hoping for his team to give City a more competitive game but his plans are disrupted by plenty of injuries and the ineligibility of winter signings Azeem Abdulai, Rarmani Edmonds-Green and Randell Williams.

Wellens' side started the season slowly and were still in the relegation zone by the start of December, but they have had a fantastic couple of months and sit sixth in the league despite the disappointment of last Saturday's 1-0 loss at home to promotion rivals Stockport.

Orient overcame higher division opposition earlier in the season when winning 1-0 at Millwall in the EFL Cup second round and they got past Derby on penalties in the previous round.

However, the hosts will be up against a City side stung by their Emirates experience and may struggle to avoid a heavy defeat.

Key stat

All of Manchester City's last eight games have generated at least four goals.

Leyton Orient vs Manchester City bet builder predictions

Both teams to score
Manchester City continue to look vulnerable at the back and that will encourage their hosts, who can get on the scoresheet in a high-scoring game.

James McAtee to score any time
McAtee bagged a hat-trick in the FA Cup third round and can find the net this weekend.

Brandon Cooper to be carded
The Orient centre-back has been booked in three of his last five appearances and may struggle to avoid another caution.
