Brendan Rodgers is 5-1 favourite with Betfair to be the next Premier League manager to leave his position after his Leicester side, who won the FA Cup last season, lost 4-1 to Nottingham Forest in the fourth round of the competition.

On Sunday morning, Rodgers had been 14-1 to be the next boss axed but saw his side dismantled by Forest, who raced into a 3-0 lead after only 32 minutes thanks to goals from Philip Zinckernagel, Brennan Johnson and Joe Worrall.

Kelechi Iheanacho hit back for Leicester before the break but Djed Spence scored the only goal of the second half to seal a Forest win, which was 16-5 before kick-off.

The Foxes also have their work cut out to achieve a European berth in the Premier League and the Europa Conference League is now their only hope of silverware this season.

While Leicester will not defend their FA Cup title, Forest, who also knocked out Arsenal in the third round this year, have been rewarded with a fifth-round tie at home to Huddersfield.

Earlier in the day, Liverpool ran out comfortable 3-1 winners against Championship side Cardiff City at Anfield, where January signing Luis Diaz came off the bench to make an assist on his debut.

Diogo Jota, Takumi Minamino and Harvey Elliott got on the scoresheet for the Reds, who are 4-1 with Hills to win the FA Cup for the first time under Jurgen Klopp.

Manchester City remain outright favourites at 2-1 and will travel to Peterborough in the fifth round, while Luton host Chelsea and Southampton face West Ham in an all-Premier League affair elsewhere in the draw.

National League outfit Boreham Wood will travel to Everton after upsetting the odds to beat Bournemouth 1-0.

FA Cup fifth-round draw in full:

Luton Town v Chelsea
Crystal Palace v Stoke City
Peterborough United v Manchester City
Liverpool v Norwich City
Southampton v West Ham United
Middlesbrough v Tottenham Hotspur
Nottingham Forest v Huddersfield Town
Everton v Boreham Wood
