Experience should see Plzen defeat Qarabag

Czech champions Viktoria Plzen were knocked out at this stage of last year’s Champions League but they can outclass their less experienced opponents Qarabag and book their place in the final round of qualifying.

The first leg in Plzen ended 0-0, but there are plenty of reasons to believe the Czechs can deliver the goods in Azerbaijan.

Last season the visitors were knocked out in the Europa League group stages but their seven-point supremacy over Sparta Prague in the Czech top flight reads well. Prague would probably be odds-on in today’s contest and 13-8 looks excellent value.
