Goals look the order of the day when mid-table pair Torino and Cagliari clash at the Olimpico di Torino.

Both teams have scored in each of the teams’ last five meetings and four of those have featured at least three goals. And on
this season’s evidence, that sequence looks likely to be extended today.

Only Italy’s top two of Juventus and Roma have netted more goals than Torino’s 22 this term, but their porous defence has also conceded 15 times – a tally that is second only to Cagliari of sides currently in the top half of Serie A.

If some of Torino’s defending has left something to be desired, Cagliari’s backline have fared far worse and have already shipped a league-high 24 goals in 11 games.

That they sit ninth in the standings owes much to a deadly attack who have found the net with regularity and their home form.

The Sardinians have gained only three of their 16 points so given their awayday blues it understandable to see them priced up as 11-2 outsiders.

Favourites Torino are unbeaten at home this season so backing them to win in an open encounter could be a worthwhile wager.
