Wayne Rooney is set to officially resume his Everton career at Goodison Park later this month after the Toffees received a home draw for the first leg of the Europa League third qualifying round.

The Toffees will take on either Slovakian side Ruzomberok or Norwegian outfit SK Brann as they battle for a berth in the playoff round.

Brann are the more likely opponents after defeating Ruzomberok 1-0 in the away leg of their second qualifying round tie.

Everton will be hoping to have Gylfi Sigurdsson on board for the start of their European adventure but are meeting stiff resistance from Swansea, who are reportedly refusing to lower their £50 million asking price for the Icelandic attacking midfielder.

Sigurdsson has not travelled on the Swans' USA tour but seems highly likely to force a move away from the Welsh club.

Paddy Power make Everton the 1-7 favourites to be Sigurdsson's club after the transfer window if he leaves Swansea. Leicester, also mentioned as potential suitors, are a 5-1 chance while a return to Tottenham can be backed at 12-1.

Seven England internationals are 3-1 or shorter with Ladbrokes to seal summer transfers.

Four Arsenal players are priced up with Kieran Gibbs rated the most likely to move at 1-2. Jack Wilshere, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott are 4-6, 5-6 and 6-4 respectively.

Chris Smalling and Phil Jones are 2-1 shots to leave Manchester United and Daniel Sturridge is 3-1 to end his four-and-a-half year association with Liverpool.
