AFC Champions League

Guangzhou Evergrande boss Fabio Cannavaro faces former club Tianjin Quanjian when the sides meet in the second leg of their Asian Champions League last-16 tie and his team can take the spoils in a high-intensity affair.

The first leg ended 0-0 in Tianjin but the follow-up at the Tianhe Stadium should see plenty of goals from two outfits who have netted a combined 31 league goals this year.

The visitors have won just one of their last five and will likely struggle to tame an Evergrande side who topped Group G this term, above Buriram United, Cerezo Osaka and Jeju United, and reached the quarter-finals of the competition in 2017.

Guangzhou’s attacking duo of Alan and Ricardo Goulart each have six goals in the Chinese Super League and Goulart also netted five times in the group stage of the Champions League.

Tianjin have not been poor in front of goal themselves and only one team scored more than their tally of 15 goals in the group phase of the elite continental competition.

Both teams like to operate with five midfielders and with stars such as Alexandre Pato, Anthony Modeste and Goulart featuring it is likely to be an open game which Guangzhou should edge, having already defeated steadily-improving Tianjin 1-0 in the league.

Recommendation
Guangzhou to win & both teams to score
2pts 9-4 bet365
