Roma v Genoa

7.30pm

Roma's run of five games without success is worrying but Genoa's form isn't much better and this is a winning opportunity for Eusebio Di Francesco's men.

Genoa are winless in the league since September, a run stretching nine games. However, they pinched a point from Juventus and suffered 2-1 defeats to Milan and Napoli, so Roma may have to work hard for their rewards.

Aaron Ashley's recommendation
Roma to win by one goal
1pt 11-4 bet365, BoyleSports

Key stat
Roma have won their last two home meetings with Genoa by one goal.

Cagliari v Napoli

5pm

Napoli can get over the disappointment of their Champions League elimination with victory on the road to Cagliari – a fixture they haven’t lost since 2009.

The hosts have drawn four straight matches in the league, but none of those were against a team anything like the calibre of Napoli, who’s midweek defeat to Liverpool ended a 12-match unbeaten run.

Adam Scriven's recommendation
Napoli -1 on handicap
1pt 11-10 general

Key stat

Napoli have won on their last three visits to Cagliari by an aggregate 13-0

Spal v Chievo

11.30am

Spal played for 80 minutes with an extra man at Genoa and still couldn’t force the win, so may struggle to see off gutsy Chievo.

Serie A’s bottom club still await their first win but they have drawn four in a row, including at Napoli and Parma. The teams both average lesss than a goal a game, so expect a tight encounter.

Steve Davies's recommendation
