Barcelona v Atletico Madrid

Eleven Sports/Premier Sports, 7.45pm

Atletico Madrid closed the gap to Barcelona to eight points this week and could open up the title race if they win at Camp Nou.

However, Atleti haven't beaten Barca in seven attempts and haven't won away to the Catalans since 2006.

Barcelona needed two injury-time goals to scramble a 4-4 draw at Villarreal on Tuesday and may be happy to secure another point.

Rayo Vallecano v Valencia

ITV4/Eleven Sports, 5.30pm

Valencia have blown open the race for fourth in La Liga with wins over Sevilla and Real Madrid and they can make it three out of three against lowly Vallecano.

Time is running out for the visitors, who are six points from safety and without a win in their last nine fixtures.

Valencia's marauding full-backs Daniel Wass and Jose Gaya were in formidable form against Real Madrid last time out and can cause problems for a Vallecano outfit who have conceded the most home goals (30) of any La Liga team.

Liam Flin's recommendation
Valencia
2pts 19-20 Coral, Hills, Sky Bet

Key stat
Valencia are unbeaten in their previous seven meetings with Rayo Vallecano.
