Bundesliga weekend predictions, odds & best tips: Leipzig likely to hassle Hoffenheim
The Racing Post Sport team run the rule over all this weekend's matches in the German top flight

There appears to be no stopping Bayern Munich, who are a perfect nine from nine in the Bundesliga and claimed the scalp of European champions Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League in midweek.
Bayern take on Union Berlin on Saturday, while the team closest to them in the Bundesliga standings, RB Leipzig, will hope to keep in touching distance before the final international break of the year.

Bundesliga predictions & tips for this weekend’s matches
Werder Bremen vs Wolfsburg
Kick-off: 7.30pm Friday
It is four league games without defeat for Werder Bremen, who have won two of their opening four Bundesliga matches on home soil. The River Islanders can see off an inconsistent Wolfsburg.
Prediction: Werder Bremen
Bayer Leverkusen vs Heidenheim
Kick-off: 2.30pm Saturday
After their four-game winning run in the Bundesliga came to an end at the hands of Bayern Munich last weekend, Bayer Leverkusen responded positively with a gritty 1-0 midweek European victory over Benfica. They should comfortably outclass Heidenheim, who have lost their last four on the road.
Prediction: Bayer Leverkusen to win to nil
Hamburg vs Borussia Dortmund
Kick-off: 2.30pm Saturday
Borussia Dortmund were unable to match the might of Manchester City midweek, but they’ve won six of their last eight Bundesliga matches and can maintain their fine form on this road trip to Hamburg. The hosts, who are on a three-match losing run, may find it hard to derail Dortmund.
Prediction: Borussia Dortmund
Hoffenheim vs RB Leipzig
Kick-off: 2.30pm Saturday
Hoffenheim are sixth in the Bundesliga despite losing three of their four home league games. Their fans may have to witness another setback as Leipzig visit looking to make it eight wins in 10 league fixtures. The second-placed team have won eight of their last nine and can pick up three points.
Prediction: RB Leipzig
Union Berlin vs Bayern Munich
Kick-off: 2.30pm Saturday
Union Berlin managed to hold Bayern Munich to a 1-1 draw in this fixture last season but a repeat looks unlikely with Bayern having won all nine of their Bundesliga matches so far. Both teams have scored in Bayern's last two away games, though, and Union could grab a consolation.
Prediction: Bayern to win & both teams to score
Borussia Monchengladbach vs Cologne
Kick-off: 5.30pm Saturday
Monchengladbach have experienced a revival with back-to-back wins and they can manage at least a goal when Cologne visit. Nine of the last 11 Bundesliga meetings between these sides have seen both teams find the net and that pattern could continue with both sides scoring four in their last matches.
Prediction: Both teams to score
Freiburg vs St Pauli
Kick-off: 2.30pm Sunday
Freiburg secured an impressive 3-1 victory at Nice in the Europa League on Thursday, and given they have lost just one of their last 12 games, it is surprising to see them priced just a shade of odds-on against St Pauli, who have lost six straight Bundesliga matches.
Prediction: Freiburg
Stuttgart vs Augsburg
Kick-off: 4.30pm Sunday
Stuttgart’s last home match of last season saw them rout Augsburg 4-0, and they can keep their visitors quiet again. The hosts have won seven straight home games, keeping five clean sheets in that run, and should back it up with four straight losses to nil for the visitors.
Prediction: Stuttgart to win to nil
Eintracht Frankfurt vs Mainz
Kick-off: 6.30pm Sunday
Frankfurt’s early-season form has fizzled out, with just one win in their last eight games. However, they battled well to draw at Napoli on Tuesday, and with their last three matches finishing level after 90 minutes, a second consecutive head-to-head stalemate with Mainz looks likely.
Prediction: Draw
