Rocket League Championship overview
It's the final week of league play in the Rocket League Championship Series season nine.
This season saw the league expand to ten teams from eight in North America and Europe after a similar move in the second tier - the Rocket League Rival Series - in season eight.
The league positions will determine the seedings for the Regional Championship with the last-placed team relegated to the RLRS.
There is a prize pool of $413,973.60 with the winners taking $96,397.
The planned World Championship event in Dallas has been cancelled due to the coronavirus.
Saturday match previews
The North American division are in action on Saturday - the Europeans play on Sunday night.
Third-placed NRG should comfortably dispatch sixth-placed Ghost. The current world champions can field Turbopolsa, who has the highest goals-per-game ratio in North America with 0.88.
Similarly, leaders Spacestation Gaming should be too strong for strugglers eUnited.
Cloud9 could well be the right favourites for a closer contest against the inconsistent Pittsburgh Knights. They should be in good heart after going 2-0 last week including using their coach Fireburner as a sub when beating Soniqs.
SSG also have a cracking clash against fellow top-two contenders G2. SSG have been more consistent and should win, although G2 are much improved this season and could take it to a decider.
The winners of Rogue v Flight will avoid last place and Rogue should get the job done with their rivals having won only one of their eight games.
Susquehanna Soniqs have been the surprise of the season after winning promotion from the RLRS and they are second in the table with their star player Shock looking likely to receive the North American MVP award. G2 are strong but this should be close and the Soniqs look a good bet with a handicap start of 1.5 games.
