Trend followers will be backing Martin Kaymer to win the European Open this week. The Dutch number one Joost Luiten won in his home country ten days ago and Italy’s top dog Francesco Molinari followed suit in Milan last Sunday. Will Germany’s star man complete the hat-trick in Bad Griesbach?
Possibly, but he appears poor value to do so. There is a key difference between Luiten and Molinari and the champion-elect in Germany. Kaymer is in the European Ryder Cup team and has a much bigger fish to fry next week.
