Match preview

Olympiakos inflicted a shock defeat on Arsenal at the Emirates to secure a spot in the last 16 of the Europa League but it is typically at their Piraeus home where the Greeks are at their most dangerous.

They lost the first leg at home 1-0 to the Gunners but saw more of the ball and the shot count was only 12-11 in Arsenal's favour, showing Olympiakos like to take control in their own backyard.

But that approach could play into the hands of Wolves, who are at their best on the counter attack and have won five matches in the competition this term. Only Basel better that tally with six.

Wolves know how to rise to big occasions, beating Tottenham 3-2 recently after crushing Espanyol 6-3 on aggregate in the last 32, and Olympiakos's home advantage will be diluted with the game being played behind closed doors.

Insights

  • Wolves have netted 13 goals in their last four Europa League matches
  • Wolves have the fifth-best away record in the Premier League, taking 21 points from their 14 games on the road
  • Olympiakos have won only two games in European competition in this campaign
