Celtic’s season seems to get worse by the week and a miserable Europa League campaign may be concluded with another defeat at home to Group H leaders Lille.

The Bhoys have lost four of their five group matches and last week they threw away a two-goal lead in a 4-2 defeat at the San Siro against a Milan side who were weakened in attack by the absence of leading scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Neil Lennon’s team also twice shipped four in Europa losses to Sparta Prague and they were decisively beaten 3-1 by Milan at Celtic Park.

Celtic’s only point in the Europa League this season came courtesy of a 2-2 draw at Lille, but even then they lost the shot count 21-9. The Ligue 1 outfit have followed that with emphatic away successes in Milan (3-0) and Prague (4-1).

Things don't appear to be well at a confidence-starved Celtic, who have dropped points in four of their last five Scottish Premiership matches, and Lille, in their pursuit of top spot, have the attacking quality to punish them.
