Carolina native can dominate threeball
Sky Sports 4, 8pm
William McGirt was born in North Carolina and lives in South Carolina, so the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro is always a special tournament on his schedule, and this week the 37-year-old tees up at Sedgefield Country Club with more self-belief than ever.
McGirt courageously claimed a maiden US Tour title in the Memorial in June, one of the most prestigious regulation events on the calendar, then followed up with seventh place in the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and tenth in the USPGA Championship.
McGirt has taken his career to the next level and bounced into Sedgefield this week seeking home-state glory. It would come as a surprise should this form-horse fail to see off Steven Bowditch and Angel Cabrera in the 5.45pm (UK and Ireland time) threeball today.
