England got off to a great start at the Under-20 World Cup in South Korea, winning 3-0 against Argentina, and are red-hot favourites to follow up with a victory over Guinea in Jeonju.

A win for the Three Lions would guarantee qualification for the knockout stage with a game to spare if Argentina fail to defeat South Korea.

And Paul Simpson's side are entitled to feel confident after their clinical performance against Argentina, who are one of the fancied teams to lift the trophy.

England defeated Argentina despite losing the shot count 22 to seven and scored with their only three shots on target.

They are expected to follow up with victory against Guinea, who lost 3-0 against South Korea in their Group A opener.

However, they will need to guard against complacency because Guinea had some good spells against the host nation and won the shot count 19 to seven.

England should see more of the ball than they did against Argentina (41 per cent) but the match could be tighter than markets expect and a wager on under 2.5 goals looks sensible at odds-against.

Germany suffered a 2-0 defeat to a talented Venezuela side in their Group B opener but can respond with a victory over Mexico in Daejeon.

There is still time for Germany to make an impact on the tournament and they look worthy favourites to topple Mexico, who failed to reach to final at the Concacaf Under-20 Championship earlier this year.

Mexico needed a injury-time goal from Edson Alvarez to scrape a 3-2 victory over Vanuatu in their opening Group B match and will have to play much better to avoid a defeat to the Germans.
