Preview

Mid-division in League One is super-congested with just six points separating promotion-chasing Derby from Cheltenham in 19th, and the Rams have a golden opportunity to jump into the playoff places on Tuesday with a win at lowly Morecambe.

Elsewhere, however, there are two fixtures featuring four teams in that mid-table bunfight, with Wycombe at home to Port Vale and Oxford welcoming Fleetwood.

On the face of it there's not a lot between the sides in either case, certainly not enough to want to get involved with the host clubs at short prices.

First, Wycombe against Vale, where the Valiants are worth a punt with the draw no bet.

Vale have been brilliant since promotion with three wins – including at Derby – and a draw at Barnsley, and they should not be fazed by a trip to Wycombe.

In the last eight days Wanderers have had two assignments on home soil and failed both times, losing 3-2 at home to Cambridge and drawing 1-1 with Morecambe.

Oxford v Fleetwood brings in the draw factor. Scott Brown's men are one of the division's stalemate staples having shared the points in eight of their 16 matches.

They are a bottom-half outfit despite having lost fewer games than either Peterborough, Bolton and several more.

Oxford have found a little form after a shabby start but aren't yet worth trusting at a short price against stubborn opponents.
