Leeds left it late to clinch the Championship title on the final day of the season, pipping Burnley on goal difference after their 2-1 win at Plymouth left them level with the Clarets on 100 points.

Manor Solomon's 91st-minute goal sealed the league for the 7-2 ante-post favourites, to the delight of punters who had doubled them up with League One champions Birmingham.

Blues went off as 2-1 favourites for the third division and bet365 customers who took the early 4-1 about Leeds and 7-2 about Birmingham are celebrating a double paying more than 21-1.

Third-placed Sheffield United are 9-5 to join Leeds and Burnley in the Premier League by winning the Championship playoffs.

The Blades host 4-1 shots Bristol City in the semi-finals while 5-2 Sunderland and 100-30 Coventry meet in the other tie.

Luton were relegated on goal difference after losing 5-3 at West Brom while their survival rivals Hull drew 1-1 at Portsmouth.

The Hatters, who finished 18th in the Premier League in 2023-24, had been 25-1 for the drop and only 11-1 to win the title at the start of the season.

Leyton Orient denied Reading the final playoff place in League One and there was late drama in League Two as Doncaster won the title with Port Vale and Bradford also earning automatic promotion.

The Bantams scored a 96th-minute winner at home to Fleetwood to move above Walsall, who were odds-on for the title at the start of March but will join AFC Wimbledon, Notts County and Chesterfield in the playoffs.
