Saturday's EFL predictions
Port Vale vs Huddersfield Town prediction
Port Vale's FA Cup heroics are turning it into a distinctly lop-sided season in the Potteries, one that looks almost certain to end in relegation.
Capable of beating the likes of Birmingham, Bristol City and Sunderland in knockout competition, they look incapable it seems of beating anyone half-decent in League One, hence why they are tailed off and 11 points from safety.
On Wednesday night nuggety West Yorkshire raiders Bradford ventured across to Vale Park and won 2-0.
Now it's the turn of the Bantams' bitter rivals Huddersfield to make the same trip - and expect the same outcome.
Vale, remarkably, have won only three league games since the end of September and the three teams they have beaten - Blackpool, Leyton Orient and Northampton - are all in the bottom six.
Crushed 5-0 at Huddersfield in December this looks a tricky assignment against a Town side who have been in and around the playoff places all season and are back up to sixth after last week's 1-0 win over Rotherham.
Their away form isn't the best - just five wins and they have lost three in a row - but it is still markedly better than Vale's form at home with the bottom club having won just twice in Burslem this season.
Ben Waine, Vale's scoring hero against Sunderland, and one or two others looked leggy against Bradford yet the games continue to come thick and fast.
Huddersfield, in contrast, have had a week off and that extra zip in their step could be the difference.

Bromley vs Bristol Rovers prediction
League Two leaders Bromley boast the only unbeaten home record in the top four divisions, though that record could well come under threat against a resurgent Bristol Rovers.
Andy Woodman's Ravens are doing nothing wrong given they haven't lost a game since the end of November.
They have, however, dropped 14 points in their last 11 games thanks to seven draws.
That is not a catastrophe with a six-point gap over Notts County in fourth but the pressure is starting to tell.
And Rovers should profit from that edginess. Steve Evans' men have eased clear from any relegation danger courtesy of ten points from their last four matches, a run which has included wins over promotion-chasers Grimsby and Crewe and a 1-1 draw at local rivals Swindon.
They are one of only five League Two teams to have beaten Bromley this season - they were 2-1 winners at Hayes Lane in the FA Cup in November - and had the Kent side on the ropes again in a thriller at the Memorial Stadium on December 26, a game the Gas were leading 2-0 and cruising until Shaq Forde's 53rd-minute red card completely changed the script. Bromley hit back to win 3-2.
Rovers have troubled Bromley before - they can do so again.
Leicester vs QPR prediction
With a win under their belts after a two-month wait, take Leicester to go back-to-back at home to freefalling QPR.
The Foxes have lost only one of five matches under Gary Rowett and if you add their docked six points back on to their tally they would be within three points of QPR.
It has been a wretched campaign post-relegation for Leicester - yet they have still lost fewer games than the hapless Hoops and Tuesday's 2-0 triumph over Bristol City may prove to be a tide-turner.
Julien Stephan's men have lost four on the bounce, admittedly tough fixtures, and not even mustered a single goal.
Fleetwood Town vs Tranmere Rovers prediction
The football merry-go-round is in good working order as Pete Wild, installed as new Tranmere boss this week, takes charge of his first game at Fleetwood, where he was fired in January.
Wild was booted out of Highbury after five consecutive defeats, a gamble by the Cod Army board which paid off with replacement Matt Lawlor presiding over a seven-game unbeaten streak which includes wins at Crewe and Walsall.
Wild's Tranmere are so short of staff they have not been able to fill the bench in recent weeks and are on a run of 11 defeats in 12 to plunge into relegation danger.
Their last game - a 3-1 home loss to Oldham on Saturday - was generally appraised as one of the club's worst performances in recent history.
Wild has got his work cut out so do not be surprised to see him suffer an unhappy return to Highbury.
