Match preview

There is little to separate Reading and Swansea in this mid-table Championship clash and it would be no surprise if the spoils were shared.

The Royals have won seven of their 11 home league games this term but both of these teams have had difficulty knitting good results together, which explains why they are outside the playoff mix.

Expect Paul Ince to start striker Lucas Joao after he scored as a substitute last time out and the formbook would suggest the home side have the stronger hand.

However, while Swansea have gone seven games without a win, only two of those were defeats and both by a single goal - against Preston and Norwich.

Coming back from three goals down to earn a draw at Coventry last time would have felt like a win, so they are capable of gaining a point from their trip to Berkshire.

Key stat

Five of Swansea's last seven Championship matches have been draws.
