Match preview

Wins over Hull and Luton have boosted Huddersfield's playoff chances and they can strength their position further with a win over top-six rivals QPR.

The Terriers limited Luton to a single shot on target in Monday's 2-0 win and that was an impressive performance against a good Hatters side.

Carlos Corberan's men have lost just four Championship matches on their own patch all season and QPR don't appear to have the tools to break down the Terriers.

The Hoops have been hampered by an injury to key attacking influence Chris Willock and the rest of the forward line has failed to fill the void.

Charlie Austin and Andre Gray are way off the pace and Scottish international Lyndon Dykes has missed much of the season through injury.

A run of seven defeats in their last eight second-tier matches has seen Rangers drop out of the top-six positions and Huddersfield may well finish their playoff push off on Friday night.

Key stat

QPR have lost seven of their last eight Championship matches.
