A quick check of the score after 15 minutes of the League One clash between Blackpool and Bolton on Saturday saw the Seasiders leading 1-0 on home turf. 

On further inspection, Steve Bruce’s men hadn’t managed a single shot on target, they had conceded 80 per cent possession to the Trotters and had benefited from the ball rebounding off the post, to strike goalkeeper Teddy Sharman-Lowe on the back and nestle in the net. 

Blackpool did go on to register one shot on target, but it was an utterly dominant performance from Bolton, who have won the shot count in all of their seven matches and Steven Schumacher’s men can pick up a deserved win against Rotherham in the EFL Trophy.
