Verdict

Stevenage will live to fight another day in the FA Cup first round after digging out a creditable 2-2 draw at MK Dons and the League Two strugglers can guarantee progress to the second round of the EFL Trophy by beating Cambridge on Tuesday.

Cambridge are already assured of progression after victories at home to Oxford (4-1) and Tottenham Under-21s (1-0) but Saturday's League One trip to MK Dons is their priority this week and if boss Mark Bonner makes wholesale changes, there should be a good opportunity for Stevenage to get the result they need.

One more point would be sufficient for Stevenage to progress but they look decent value to take all three.

Third-tier heavyweights Ipswich are one of the biggest clubs in the competition but they could struggle at home to League Two Colchester.

A strong Ipswich side drew 1-1 at home to fourth-tier Oldham in the FA Cup on Saturday and it is likely that Tractor Boys' manager Paul Cook will ring the changes as he looks ahead to Saturday's league match against Oxford.

Colchester have a free weekend ahead as their scheduled league match at Forest Green has been postponed, so look to have a decent chance of getting the victory they need to progress to the second round.
