Manchester City are 8-1 to win the quadruple after securing the first trophy of the domestic season with a shootout victory over Chelsea in a dramatic EFL Cup final.

The Citizens, 150-1 with bet365 to scoop four major trophies at the start of the season, held their nerve after a goalless 120 minutes at Wembley.

City's attention now turns to the Premier League, for which they are 8-15 favourites after Liverpool's 0-0 draw at Manchester United, while they are 5-6 for the FA Cup and 11-4 market leaders in the Champions League betting.

They are 17-10 with bet365 to complete a domestic treble by winning the league title and the FA Cup.

The major talking point of the final came towards the end of extra-time when Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa refused to be substituted, to the fury of under-pressure Blues boss Maurizio Sarri.

Kepa managed to save one penalty in the shootout but Jorginho and David Luiz missed for Chelsea, who had been 11-4 outsiders to lift the trophy at the start of the final.

The game finished goalless after 90 minutes, rewarding backers of no goalscorer at 14-1, and the closest either side came to breaking the deadlock was when City striker Sergio Aguero's effort was disallowed for offside.

City had been 4-7 to win in normal time while the draw after 90 minutes was 18-5.
