Dynamo's attack looks to have been severely blunted
St Pauli have continued from where they left off
Bundesliga 2
BT Sport 3, 7.30pm Monday
St Pauli and Dynamo Dresden celebrated 1-0 victories in their opening matches of the Bundesliga 2 campaign and it would be no surprise if it turned out to be a tight affair between the pair in Hamburg on Monday.
For St Pauli, who won at Bochum, it was a case of starting from where they left off as they had climbed the table to seventh at the end of last season having won six and drawn one of their final seven matches.
They will again be relying heavily on Moroccan striker Aziz Bouhaddouz, who notched 15 times last season and new manager Olaf Janssen will be hoping that some of his midfielders can make more of a contribution.
Dresden have issues with goals as well, despite the fact only champions Stuttgart scored more than their 53 goals in the German second tier last season.
Their attacking options have been severely hampered by the departure of last season's top goalscorer Stefan Kutschke to Ingolstadt, although they will be encouraged that new boy Lucas Roser got off the mark in last week's victory over Duisberg.
Dynamo have found the net in eight of their last 12 league matches on the road, but it may take them a while to find their feet in Kutschke's absence.
So with ten of St Pauli's last 13 home matches having featured fewer than three goals, it looks worth betting that the pattern continues.
