Don't expect a thriller when Tennessee and LA Chargers lock horns at Wembley
Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota is short on confidence
Week seven
BBC2, 2.30pm Sunday
The Rams have grabbed most of the headlines in Los Angeles this season but the Chargers look to be sneaking under the radar and they are expected to put in a bold show in the second Wembley match of the campaign.
Their city rivals and AFC West leaders Kansas City are the only teams to have beaten the Chargers this season.
The scale of their achievements would have been tempered before last week as their victories had come against the lowly trio of San Francisco, Buffalo and Oakland, but a 38-14 thumping of the improving Cleveland Browns made plenty of people sit up and listen.
The trip to London should ensure they maintain their focus against a Tennessee side who appear to be heading in the opposite direction.
The Titans looked to be showing their credentials with victories over fancied AFC South rivals Jacksonville and Super Bowl champions Philadelphia in successive weeks, but they followed those wins with a poor loss to the Bills and they failed to trouble the scoreboard against Baltimore last week.
While the Chargers offence has been a threat both through the air and on the ground, the Titans have not conceded more than 23 points in any game since a Week One loss to Miami.
They have won just one of their last 11 matches against the Chargers and only two teams have registered a lower average number of points than their pretty miserable 14.5.
Quarterback Marcus Mariota could be low on confidence after being sacked 11 times by the Ravens last week and they may not be able to contribute much offensively, which would suggest that the total-points line of 45 could prove to be on the high side.
