Cowdenbeath can enhance their survival chances

Cowdenbeath beat Clyde a couple of weeks ago and a win in Fife will give them a serious chance of beating the drop from Ladbrokes League Two and dragging the Bully Wee right into it.

The Blue Brazil's appointment of former Hearts and Kilmarnock boss Gary Locke was a desperate last throw of the dice to try to avoid a third relegation in a row, which could ultimately leave them playing with the likes of Civil Service Strollers in the Lowland League.

And it has worked because Locke has dragged some crucial results out of his squad including the win at Clyde.

They only narrowly lost at in-form Annan last week and a win would take them to within one point of Clyde at the bottom.

The Central Park side will fancy it against a side short in confidence.

In another Ladbrokes League Two fixture, one team have won six in a row. The other have not won for eight games. Surely the 23-10 outsiders are the club who can't buy a win and the 11-10 jollies are the form team? But that's not the case with Stirling Albion and Forfar.

The Binos are on a fabulous run, re-energised by Dave Mackay who has completely transformed their season.

In contrast, Forfar are somehow still top of the league despite doing their absolute best to blow a seemingly unassailable lead.

Darren Smith has netted four in his last three games for Albion and even when they were twice behind last week, they showed their qualities to bounce back and beat Clyde.

Forfar manager Gary Bollan admitted his side looked nervous and it's no wonder as their 11-point lead has been whittled down to one.
Stirling can add to their woes.

Kilmarnock can take a giant step to safety in the Highlands and help to shove Inverness closer to the relegation trapdoor.

The Rugby Park side have stabilised since the departure of Lee Clark to Bury, with his assistant Lee McCulloch doing a decent role in the caretaker position.

Killie have picked up the odd important victory and there's evidence to suggest they are overpriced to win at the Caledonian Stadium.

They went up to Dingwall a few weeks ago and defeated Ross County and Caley Thistle are arguably worse.

Richie Foran's men are also missing Iain Vigurs and Carl Tremarc, who has been an important player for Thistle recently.

Kris Boyd and Connor Sammon are a pretty decent strikeforce to have and they could shoot down Inverness and even give themselves a chance of a top-six place.
