Countdown To Kick-Off: Wigan value to end slump with success over Readng

Great late bets for today's 3pm EFL kick-offs

Wigan v Reading

Wigan have lost four Sky Bet Championship games on the spin but have faced promotion-chasing trio Sheffield United, Leeds and Middlesbrough in that time and should be much happier hosting a much weaker Reading.

The return of skipper Sam Morsy is another boost for Paul Cook’s men, who have picked up 17 of their 20 points on their own patch.

Star striker Will Grigg is fit enough to make the bench and that gives the Latics the options to make changes if things aren't going their way.

Reading have conceded eight goals in losing three consecutive outings on the road and with Mo Barrow and Icelandic international Jon Dadi Bodvarsson both out, their frontline has a much weaker look to it.

Northampton v Grimsby

Keith Curle’s appointment has changed Northampton’s fortunes and the confident Cobblers can climb further up the table with victory over Grimsby.

Northampton have picked up 10 points from a possible 12 since Curle took charge at Sixfields and have a much deeper squad than their struggling visitors.

Matt Crooks, their most influential player, is still sidelined but Sam Foley returns from suspension to sure up the midfield and former Aberdeen man Ashley Taylor is back at the heart of their defence.

Grimsby have lost their last three on the road and could struggle against a Northampton outfit who are currently in a false position.
