Brazil v Venezuela

1.30am Tuesday night

Tite's decision to go with Roberto Firmino ahead of Gabriel Jesus as his starting striker could point to a first-goalscorer punt when Brazil face Venezuela in the second round of Copa America group-stage fixtures.

Firmino failed to fire in the opener as the hosts eased to a 3-0 victory over Bolivia, but the fact that he is in position to finish off the expert work of Philippe Coutinho, David Neres and Richarlison suggests the Liverpool forward will notch soon enough.

It was a quiet opener for Firmino, who had the fewest touches (44) of the outfield Brazilian starters, but he still managed to fire one shot on target and can come on for the run as he builds himself up to peak fitness following his injury layoff at the end of the Premier League campaign.

Recommendation
R Firmino first goalscorer

Bolivia v Peru

10.30pm Tuesday

Bolivia managed one shot on target in their loss to Brazil and have now failed to score in six of their last seven matches, the exception being a 2-2 draw against Nicaragua.

Marcelo Martins, of Shijiazhuang Ever Bright in the Chinese second division, is Bolivia's best hope of a goal, which says much for their chances of upsetting Peru.

Two correct offside VAR calls denied Peru a winner against Venezuela and their pretty passing isn't always followed by expert finishing, but one goal may be enough against limited opponents.

Recommendation
Peru to win & under 3.5 goals
