Connah's Quay can give Seasiders a tough time in Welsh Cup final

Connah’s Quay Nomads qualified for the preliminary round of next season’s Europa League with their third-placed finish in the Welsh Premier League and they can round off the season with victory in the Welsh Cup final against Aberystwyth.

The Nomads obliterated relegated Bangor 6-1 in the semi-final after an impressive victory over league winners The New Saints in the last eight.

With just 29 league goals conceded all season, Connah’s Quay also had the best defence in their division and should be boosted by the fact that Aberystwyth are still settling under new manager Seamus Heath, who arrived in March.

Heath’s side edged out Newtown 2-1 in the semi-final and finished the season fourth from bottom, so they go into the match as underdogs.
