Chelsea vs Djurgarden predictions

Given the quality and value of their mammoth squad, it could be argued that Chelsea have had one foot in the Conference League final ever since their participation in this season's edition was confirmed. 

If that was the case, then they now have their whole body – bar maybe a pinky – in the Wroclaw showpiece after last week's 4-1 demolition of Swedish minnows Djurgarden in the first leg of their semi-final. 

The Blues will look to get the job done at Stamford Bridge without breaking a sweat and it seems likely they will manage to do so, with their visitors set to name a depleted bench for the second week running because of an untimely injury crisis. 

Chelsea can take their foot of the gas as opposition who have netted just three goals in their last six Allsvenskan games appear extremely unlikely to claw back a hefty deficit in London. 

Enzo Maresca will be delighted with the three-goal cushion his side hold as it means he can rest his key men ahead of Sunday's huge clash against their top-five rivals Newcastle. 

Nicolas Jackson is likely to be held back for that trip to St James' Park and Christopher Nkunku and Marc Guiu are injured, meaning youngster Tyrique George should lead the line for the second Conference League game running. 

George is still a raw talent but he is not afraid to shoot, registering 18 attempts in his last ten Conference League matches, which is a positive sign. 

After months of waiting for a first Chelsea goal, the youngster has netted two in his last five matches and he has a great opportunity to notch for the third time against Djurgarden.
