Seattle Sounders vs PSG predictions

Paris St-Germain suffered a rare setback on Friday, losing 1-0 to Botafogo, but the European champions should be too strong for MLS side Seattle Sounders in their final Group B game.

A point would be enough to take PSG into the Club World Cup round of 16 and Seattle are 14-1 to inflict a second straight defeat on Luis Enrique's men.

Backing PSG to win to nil looks a solid bet as they finished the European club season by beating Reims 3-0 in the French Cup final and thrashing Inter 5-0 in the Champions League final.

Their defensive standards have remained high at this tournament. They brushed aside Atletico Madrid 4-0 on matchday one and had 16 shots to Botafogo's four in last week's defeat at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.

Enrique gave starts to Lucas Hernandez, Beraldo, Senny Mayulu and Warren Zaire-Emery against the South American champions but his midfield and defence should be at full strength against Seattle.

The Sounders have scored in their first two defeats, losing 2-1 to Botafogo and 3-1 to Atletico, but they may struggle to lay a glove on a PSG side stung by their defeat last time out.

Seattle's last MLS result before this tournament was a 3-0 defeat away to Vancouver Whitecaps and their last two league wins were both by a 1-0 scoreline.

They may not see much of the ball given that PSG had around 75 per cent of possession in their first two games against stronger opponents than Seattle.

Top goalscorer Ousmane Dembele missed both games due to a thigh injury and he may not be rushed back for Monday's game.

However, Bradley Barcola's return to full fitness strengthens PSG's attacking unit and ace goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma should have a comfortable 90 minutes against Group B's bottom club.

Seattle Sounders vs PSG bet builder predictions

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to score at any time

PSG's brilliant winger has had a lively start to the tournament, contributing two assists against Atletico Madrid and having eight shots in his first two games.

Over 2.5 PSG goals

PSG were frustrated by Botafogo last time out but they had won their previous five matches, scoring 19 goals.

Alex Roldan to be shown a card

Seattle's right-back has been booked twice in his last ten MLS starts and he is not used to facing wingers of the calibre of Kvaratskhelia.
