Liverpool and Manchester City both slipped up in the Premier League at the weekend and will be aiming to bounce back in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The Reds, five points clear and able to qualify for the knockout phase with a win, face Atletico Madrid while City can as good as certify their own progress with a victory over Club Brugge.

There are six other Champions League matches to get stuck into on Wednesday as well as action from the Championship.

Today's best accumulator bets

Bets to be placed by 7.45pm

Fulham to beat Blackburn

Liverpool to beat Atletico Madrid

Paris St-Germain to beat Leipzig

Sporting to beat Besiktas

Fulham have won four consecutive Championship matches and the promotion-chasing Whites should be too strong for Blackburn at Ewood Park, while Liverpool defeated Atletico Madrid in Spain and can double the dose on Merseyside.

PSG know that a win over Leipzig will all but book a place in last 16. The star-studded Parisians should prevail while Sporting have been excellent on home turf this season - winning their last three league home games to nil - and can account for Besiktas.

The fourfold pays over 9-1 with Betfair.

Liverpool v Atletico Madrid

BT Sport 2, 8pm

Liverpool have been happy to rely on outscoring their opponents this season and their top-class attack can expose the faults in an Atletico defence weakened by the absence of defensive rock Stefan Savic. The Reds are taken to edge another Anfield thriller.

Man City v Club Brugge

BT Sport 3, 8pm

Manchester City should bounce back with a win but both teams have scored in Club Brugge's last four Champions League games, against Lazio, PSG, Leipzig and City. Expect the Belgian outfit to get on the scoresheet in a high-scoring contest.

Bet of the day

QPR to beat Cardiff, 7.45pm

QPR are scoring plenty of goals - 26 in 15 matches - and should possess enough quality to expose struggling Cardiff. The Bluebirds have lost five of seven home league games this season and another reverse looks on the cards.

Goalscorer bet of the day

Sheriff Tiraspol v Inter - BT Sport Extra, 8pm

Edin Dzeko scored the opener against Sheriff on matchday three and has notched seven goals in eight starts in Serie A this season. Given his aerial prowess, the Inter striker looks a decent odds-against proposition to get on the scoresheet once again.

Best bet
Edin Dzeko to score at any time

Stat of the day

Manchester City v Club Brugge

The last six times Man City have lost in the top flight they went on to win their next league game, scoring five goals in four of them and four goals once.
