Bayern Munich v Barcelona

Where to watch

BT Sport 4 & 5, 8pm

Best bet

Barcelona or draw double chance
1pt Evs Boylesports, Hills

Preview

Bayern Munich have dominated their recent meetings with Barcelona, beating the Catalan giants 3-0 home and away in last season's Champions League, but it could be a different story when the European juggernauts reconvene at the Allianz Arena.

One of the biggest transfer stories of the summer saw Robert Lewandowski swap life in Munich for a move to Barcelona and the 34-year-old marksman is thriving in Spain, scoring six times in his first five games.

The Pole's goals have played a key part in a strong start to the season by Barcelona, who have won their last five matches by an aggregate scoreline of 20-2.

They are worth a bet to avoid defeat against Bayern Munich, who battled to a 2-0 win over Inter in their Champions League opener but "have to improve" according to sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic following three straight draws in the Bundesliga.

Bayer Leverkusen v Atletico Madrid

Where to watch

BT Sport 7, 8pm

Best bet

Atletico Madrid
1pt 8-5 Betfair

Preview

Atletico Madrid left it late to win their Champions League opener against Porto last week, striking a 101st-minute winner to prevail 2-1 with all three goals coming in stoppage time, and they will be hoping for a more controlled game away to Bayer Leverkusen.

Atleti travel to Germany without Jose Gimenez and Thomas Lemar but should have enough in their locker to overpower Gerardo Seoane's men, who are struggling for consistency.

Leverkusen looked to have turned a corner with victory over Mainz at the end of August but have since taken one point from two games with Freiburg and Hertha Berlin and they lost away to Club Brugge in their first Champions League outing of the season.

They are desperately short of confidence and are worth opposing against Diego Simeone's side, who are unbeaten in their last four contests.

Marseille v Eintracht Frankfurt

Where to watch

BT Sport 6, 8pm

Best bet

Marseille
1pt 19-20 Betfred, Hills

Preview

Marseille are hot on the heels of Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1 this term and will be looking to carry that form into a wide-open Group D in this year's Champions League.

Victory over Lille on Saturday means Marseille have started the French top-flight season with six wins and a draw from seven matches and Igor Tudor's men have got arguably their toughest Champions League group fixture out of the way already, losing 2-0 at Tottenham last week.

And they should fancy their chances of getting their first win of the group phase on the board against Eintracht Frankfurt, who won last season's Europa League but were blown away by Sporting Lisbon 3-0 last week.

Frankfurt also find themselves in the bottom half of the Bundesliga after six contests with only two wins to their name and they could be swatted aside at the Stade Velodrome.

Porto v Club Brugge

Where to watch

BT Sport 8, 8pm

Best bet

Porto to win to nil
1pt 11-8 bet365, Betfair

Preview

Porto's Champions League campaign began with a gut-punching defeat to Atletico Madrid but they are a different beast at the Estadio do Dragao, where they can shut out Club Brugge.

Porto thought they had nicked a point with their 96th-minute equaliser against Atletico, only to concede five minutes later, but they should be much tighter at the back against the Belgians.

They have won their first three home league games by an aggregate scoreline of 11-1, including a 3-0 defeat of Sporting Lisbon.

Brugge opened with a 1-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen but that was thanks to a gritty defensive performance and they offer less in the final third this season following the sale of star forward Charles De Ketelaere to Milan this summer. Back a Porto win to nil.

Viktoria Plzen v Inter

Where to watch

BT Sport 1, 5.45pm

Best bet

Inter to win & under 3.5 goals
1pt 5-4 Coral, Ladbrokes

Preview

With trips to Barcelona and Bayern Munich to come later in the group stage, Inter cannot afford to slip up away to minnows Viktoria Plzen.

The Serie A giants are already on the back foot in Group C after losing at home to Bayern Munich on matchday one but they are around 4-9 to get back to winning ways against Czech side Plzen.

Viktoria Plzen crumbled in a 5-1 defeat to Barcelona on matchday one, allowing their opponents 11 shots on target and 77 per cent possession.

But on home soil they can keep things tighter against Inter, who are not in the best of form with three defeats in five games and the Italians may have to settle for a low-scoring success.

Inter to win and under 3.5 goals could be the way to go.
