Bayern Munich v Viktoria Plzen

Where to watch

BT Sport 4, 5.45pm Tuesday

Best bet

Leroy Sane to be first goalscorer
1pt 6-1 Betfair, Paddy Power

Preview

Bayern Munich appear to have done the hard part in Group C, winning 2-0 at Inter on matchday one and beating Barcelona by the same scoreline at the Allianz Arena last time out.

The German champions are white-hot favourites to extend their perfect start to the Champions League campaign with a home victory over Viktoria Plzen, who lost 5-1 at Camp Nou and had midfielder Pavel Bucha sent off in a 2-0 home defeat to Inter on matchday two.

Former Bayern star Robert Lewandowski helped himself to a hat-trick in Barcelona's win over the Czech champions and his old teammates should be confident of racking up the goals in Bavaria.

Leroy Sane stands out in the first-scorer betting as the former Manchester City winger has had a fine start to the season, notching against Inter and Barcelona and opening the scoring in the third minute of Bayern's 4-0 weekend Bundesliga win over Bayer Leverkusen.

Marseille v Sporting

Where to watch

BT Sport 1, 5.45pm Tuesday

Best bet

Draw
1pt 5-2 Betfred

Preview

Marseille's defeats to Tottenham and Eintracht Frankfurt in this season's Champions League have extended their miserable run in the competition to 16 defeats in their last 17 matches.

Despite that record, Igor Tudor's men are favourites to get a win on the board when they host Sporting in Group D and they have racked up eight victories in their last ten home games in Ligue 1.

Marseille were not disgraced in a 2-0 loss at Spurs, where they had Chancel Mbemba sent off early in the second half, but they will have been disappointed with a 1-0 home loss to Eintracht on matchday two.

Sporting, in contrast, have beaten Eintracht 3-0 and Tottenham 2-0 in their first two games, scoring all five of their goals in the 65th minute or later, and they are capable of taking a point off a talented but flaky Marseille side.

Inter v Barcelona

Where to watch

BT Sport 4, 8pm Tuesday

Best bet

Barcelona
3pts 5-6 Betfred

Preview

Inter and Barcelona have lost to Bayern Munich and beaten Viktoria Plzen in their first two matches in Group C so their double-header on matchdays three and four should go a long way towards determining who will make the last 16.

Barca are worthy favourites to win their San Siro showdown with an Inter side who have lost four of their last six Serie A matches, conceding 11 goals in defeats to Lazio, Milan, Udinese and Roma.

That defensive fallibility does not bode well for a clash with Barca, who swatted aside Viktoria Plzen 5-1 in their opener and had 18 shots to Bayern's 13 in their matchday-two defeat in Munich.

Other than that 2-0 loss to the group favourites, Barca have won their last seven matches in all competitions, scoring 24 goals and conceding only two in those triumphs, and this looks a good time to be taking on leaky Inter.

Ajax v Napoli

Where to watch

BT Sport 5, 8pm Tuesday

Best bet

Napoli draw no bet
2pts 5-4 Hills

Preview

Napoli kicked off their Champions League campaign with a stylish 4-1 home win over Liverpool and followed up by beating ten-man Rangers 3-0 at Ibrox so the Serie A leaders should not be cowed by a trip to Ajax.

Luciano Spalletti's side, who also missed penalties in their first two Group A victories, claimed a 2-1 win over Italian champions Milan in their last away fixture and returned from the international break with a 3-1 home success over Torino.

Napoli were 3-0 up inside 37 minutes of that weekend win and their dynamic attacking football has ruffled plenty of opponents this season.

They are particularly effective away from home, winning nine of their last 11 on the road in all competitions, and look an appealing punt with the draw no bet at Ajax, who went off at 1-12 to beat Go Ahead Eagles at home in the Eredivisie on Saturday but were held to a 1-1 draw.

Porto v Bayer Leverkusen

Where to watch

BT Sport 7, 8pm Tuesday

Best bet

Over 2.5 goals
2pts 4-5 Hills

Preview

Bayer Leverkusen scored two late goals to see off Atletico Madrid 2-0 on matchday two but that victory was a rare bright spot in a tough start to the campaign for the Bundesliga side.

They were thumped 4-0 by German champions Bayern Munich at the weekend – their seventh defeat in 11 matches in all competitions this term – and their defence may well struggle against Group B rivals Porto.

Leverkusen coach Gerardo Seoane has been warned that his future at the club depends on this week's results against Porto and Schalke and attack may be the best form of defence for the visitors.

Patrik Schick and Moussa Diaby pose a goal threat for Leverkusen but Porto are playing with great confidence on their own patch, thumping Braga 4-1 at the weekend after winning their first three home league games 5-1, 3-0 and 3-0, and over 2.5 goals looks a solid bet at the Estadio do Dragao.

Club Brugge v Atletico Madrid

Where to watch

BT Sport 6, 8pm Tuesday

Best bet

Ferran Jutgla to be first goalscorer
1pt each-way 11-1 bet365

Preview

Club Brugge conceded 18 goals against Manchester City, RB Leipzig and Paris St-Germain in their last four group games of the 2021-22 Champions League but the Belgian champions have found their feet in this season's competition.

After a 1-0 home win over Bayer Leverkusen they claimed a shock 4-0 victory away to Porto on matchday two and should prove awkward opponents for under-pressure Atletico Madrid.

Diego Simeone's men beat ten-man Porto 2-1 in an extraordinary game featuring three goals in injury-time and there was more late drama for Atleti on matchday two as they conceded in the 84th and 87th minutes to lose 2-0 at struggling Leverkusen.

Club Brugge's Spanish forward Ferran Jutgla will be keen to impress against the visitors from Madrid. The 23-year-old opened the scoring from the penalty spot against Porto and claimed his sixth league goal of the season in the weekend win over Mechelen, racking up six attempts in just 58 minutes.
