Tottenham
Harry Kane is expected to recover from a knock against Brighton but Japhet Tanganga and Dejan Kulusevski remain sidelined, Lucas Moura returns to the squad.
Eintracht Frankfurt
Jerome Onguene, Almamy Toure and Aurelio Buta are all out while the visitors may return to one up front after playing two against Bochum on Saturday.
Match preview
A win, a loss and a draw from their opening three matches have left Tottenham’s position in Champions League Group D delicately poised before their fourth game, hosting Eintracht Frankfurt.
Spurs remain favourites to win the group despite their two-point deficit to Sporting Lisbon, and two of their remaining matches are at home, beginning with the return fixture of last week’s 0-0 draw in Germany.
Both sides had good chances to win that game and accumulated 2.3 expected goals between them despite their stalemate.
Frankfurt followed that with a disappointing 3-0 defeat against the bottom side in the Bundesliga, VfL Bochum, on Saturday.
Manager Oliver Glasner had rested some of his key players for that clash but the boss was still frustrated with his team’s performance.
Last year’s Europa League winners have struggled with for consistency in the new campaign - they had beaten league leaders Union Berlin 2-0 before their loss to basement boys Bochum.
There is a possibility that their squad is not quite deep enough to deal with the relentless nature of balancing Champions League football with their Bundesliga efforts.
Much has been made of Tottenham’s recent struggles, typified by a 3-1 defeat to rivals Arsenal. However Antonio Conte’s side remain just four points off the top of the Premier League after picking up a workmanlike 1-0 victory over Brighton at the weekend.
Harry Kane scored his eighth league goal of the campaign in that win and looks set to be fit for this clash after hobbling off with a minor ankle injury against the Seagulls.
Despite the consternations about their form, Tottenham have shown plenty in the early part of the season to show they remain on the right track and have been rock solid at home.
Spurs have won their five games in all competitions in their own backyard, scoring 15 goals in the process.
Their issues have come on the road, where they have won just two of their seven matches. They will therefore relish this return to north London after playing four of their last five matches on the road.
Conte’s men are fancied to overcome a one-goal deficit on the handicap given Frankfurt’s poor performance at the weekend and the fact that Spurs have been prodigious scorers at home.
Correct score backers may also consider a 3-1 Tottenham victory, given that Spurs have conceded in three of their five home wins.

Tottenham have scored 15 goals in five home games this season.
