Schalke set to suffer another setback at Galatasaray

Schalke suffered yet another setback in the Bundesliga with a 2-0 defeat at home to Werder Bremen on Saturday and they look there for the taking when they travel to Turkish league leaders Galatasaray.

The Miners, second in the German top flight last season, are struggling to reproduce their heroics and find themselves down in 16th after eight games.

Goals have been particularly hard to come by. They have scored just seven times from ten competitive matches this season and needed an 88th-minute winner from American youngster Weston McKennie to claim all three points at Lokomotiv Moscow.

The visitors can expect a tough test at Gala, who are unbeaten in six home games.

Fatih Terim’s men thumped Lokomotiv 3-0 in Istanbul and Schalke’s struggles up front could be more evident in front of a hostile crowd.
