Paris St-Germain vs Arsenal predictions
Arsenal have won their last four Champions League away fixtures, including a 7-1 rout of PSV Eindhoven and a 2-1 victory over Real Madrid, and they must extend that streak against Paris St-Germain if they are to reach the final.
Ousmane Dembele's clinical fourth-minute strike settled the first leg in PSG's favour and the French champions, who knocked out Liverpool and Aston Villa in the previous two rounds, are long odds-on to eliminate the last English club left in the competition.
The clash at the Emirates Stadium was decided by fine margins and the second-leg draw looks a big price at the Parc des Princes.
That outcome would delight PSG, who could have increased their lead late in the first leg as Bradley Barcola missed a great chance and Goncalo Ramos hit the crossbar.
Arsenal also had their moments, forcing Gianluigi Donnarumma into two top-class saves and seeing a Mikel Merino header ruled out for offside at the start of the second half.
The Gunners, 7-2 to qualify, welcome back influential midfielder Thomas Partey from suspension but their lack of ruthlessness in front of goal is a major concern.
They lost 2-1 at home to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday and, having looked nailed on for a third consecutive runners-up finish, are now only three points clear of Manchester City.
The injured Kai Havertz, whose last Premier League appearance came in a 5-1 drubbing of City on February 2, is still Arsenal's top league scorer with just nine goals.
Gabriel Magalhaes, their prime aerial target from set pieces, is also sidelined while PSG's squad is in good shape after sealing the Ligue 1 title a month ago.
Top scorer Dembele is back in training after a slight hamstring problem and Portugal striker Ramos would be a solid understudy if the Frenchman is not fit enough to start.
Arsenal's European run has clearly affected their domestic form but it is still worrying that they have won only three of their last ten league fixtures: narrow home victories over Chelsea and Fulham and a 4-0 success at ten-man Ipswich.
That run includes draws against Nottingham Forest, Manchester United, Everton, Brentford and Crystal Palace and Mikel Arteta's men may be frustrated in their pursuit of a victory over PSG in 90 minutes.
With doubts over Arsenal's forwards, Declan Rice is worth backing to score at any time. Partey's return should allow Rice to gallop into dangerous positions and he scored the opener against Bournemouth with a confident finish from Martin Odegaard's pass.
Rice had three shots against the Cherries and has scored four times in his last six Champions League starts including a pair of stunning free-kicks against Real Madrid.
