Champions League team profiles: PSG v Manchester United
Edinson Cavani and Neymar sidelined for the Parisiens
Ince slams Sanchez
Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince has slammed Alexis Sanchez after the Chilean put in another disappointing performance during his substitute appearance for the Red Devils in the 2-0 defeat to Paris St-Germain.
"The way Sanchez is playing at the moment is nothing short of a disgrace," Ince said on his blog at news.paddypower.com
"His performances are a joke for the wage he gets. The fans deserve better, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer deserves better and so do the rest of his team.
"Maybe he has the hump because he’s not in the starting 11, but that’s hardly a surprise - he's been hopeless."
PSG ease to first-leg victory
Second-half goals from Presnel Kimpembe and Kylian Mbappe saw Paris St-Germain deservedly beat Manchester United 2-0 at Old Trafford and the French champions are 1-50 to qualify for the Champions League quarter-finals.
It was a miserable night for United, who lost Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard to injury and saw Paul Pogba sent off for two bookable offences late on, ruling him out of the return leg.
United, who suffered their worst European home defeat, are 20-1 to turn the tie on its head in Paris.
Paris St-Germain profile
How they qualified
PSG were the highest scorers with 17 goals and forced the most attempts on target of 48, while Neymar also topped the individual figures after having 16 shots on goal, but Thomas Tuchel's men also failed to keep a clean sheet.
Form
A 9-0 gubbing of Guingamp was swift revenge for a surprise League Cup loss at the hands of the same opponents, while Lyon recently dished out a first Ligue 1 loss of the season to PSG, who remain a distance clear domestically.
Winter transfer action
Tuchel wanted two midfielders but had to make do with one, Leonardo Paredes from Zenit.
Prospects
A fully-fit front three of Kylian Mbappe, Edinson Cavani and Neymar can definitely win this competition, but other teams have better balance overall and a losing the Brazilian to a broken foot is a major blow at an inconvenient time.
Man Utd profile
How they qualified
No last-16 qualifier scored fewer goals than United's seven and two of those came in the dying embers away to Juventus to turn a likely loss into a surprise win that was crucial to finishing above Valencia.
Form
A matchday six defeat in Valencia was followed by a 3-1 loss at Liverpool and that proved pivotal in United's season as it lead to Jose Mourinho's sacking. Cult hero Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has arrived and results have been sensational - ten wins, including away wins at Arsenal and Tottenham, and one draw in 11 matches with Paul Pogba inspirational.
Winter transfer action
Marouane Fellaini departed for China.
Prospects
Solskjaer's side remain outsiders against PSG, but this tie looks a whole lot different from when the draw was made. However, others make greater outright appeal.
Schedule
First leg: Manchester United 0-2 PSG, February 12
Second leg: Parc des Princes (Paris), March 6
