Kylian Mbappe and Harry Kane were leading the Champions League scoring charts after three matchdays but they are far from the only forwards to start the campaign on fire.

Racing Post football tipster Jamie Griffith has picked out three other in-form strikers who look set to add to their tallies, creating a 5-1 goalscorer treble for Wednesday's action.

All bets must be placed by 8pm on Wednesday

Victor Osimhen to score in Ajax vs Galatasaray

No side had conceded more Champions League goals in the first three matchdays than Ajax's 11 and a shaky backline is likely to be exposed by Galatasaray, who have beaten Liverpool and Bodo/Glimt in their last two European outings.

Key to Gala's success has been Victor Osimhen, who scored three goals across those two victories. Only Kylian Mbappe (4.9) and Harry Kane (3.8) have bettered Osimhen's expected-goals figure of 3.7 after three matchdays – a fact made all the more impressive given that the Nigerian has played one match fewer – and he should be able to bolster his scoring tally in Amsterdam.

Marcus Rashford to score in Club Brugge vs Barcelona

Like many before him, Marcus Rashford has shone since leaving Manchester United and he is loving life in Catalonia, scoring four goals in his last five Barcelona appearances.

He has been especially excellent in the Champions League, scoring braces against both Newcastle and Olympiakos. The England international should add to his tally against Club Brugge, who shipped four to Bayern Munich last time and will be without first-choice goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.

Francesco Esposito to score in Inter vs Kairat Almaty

Lautaro Martinez has been Inter's most potent striker in the Champions League, scoring three goals, but it is unlikely that he will be the only Nerazzurri player to find the net against Kazakh minnows Kairat Almaty, who have conceded nine goals across their last two European outings.

Francesco Esposito is only 20 years of age but is already proving his worth to last season's Champions League runners-up. The Italian was excellent against Club Brugge in Inter's last European game, scoring once and racking up an expected-goals figure of 2.1, and the lively youngster should trouble a shaky Kairat backline on Wednesday.

Football acca FAQs

What is a football accumulator (acca)?
A football accumulator, commonly referred to as an 'acca', is a single bet that combines multiple individual bets into one. Each selection within the accumulator must win for the bet to pay out, offering higher potential returns but at increased risk compared to single bets.

Can I place an acca on different markets?
Yes, you can combine various markets in an acca, including match winners, total goals, both teams to score, and more. However, most betting platforms require that selections within an accumulator are not related to ensure the bet is valid.

What is the advantage of placing an accumulator bet?
The main advantage of an accumulator bet is the potential for higher returns from a smaller stake since the odds of each selection are multiplied together. It adds excitement to watching multiple matches, as each leg of your acca needs to be successful for a return.
