Oldham's fixtures tend to be low-scoring - the Latics' games are averaging just 2.33 goals per match - but the visit of Bury could change all that.

Bury are an attack-minded team who often dominate the shot statistics and most opposition sides tend to get dragged into a shootout with them which points to a buy of goals at 2.6 with Sporting Index.

Oldham have scored in seven of their last eight matches in League Two, and the single blank was a 0-0 draw at Notts County which Athletic dominated.

They won the shot count 19-5 and forced six shots on target, only to find County goalkeeper Ross Fitzsimons in excellent form.

However, Bury will be a tough test for Oldham. The Shakers have scored 16 goals in their last five league matches and they possess plenty of quality in the likes of Neil Danns, Danny Mayor and Nicky Adams to assist Nicky Maynard.

The problem for Ryan Lowe's men is keeping clean sheets away from home with only one shutout in ten away league trips this season.

Sporting rate Liverpool as 1-1.2 favourites over Manchester United for Sunday's showdown at Anfield with goals trading at 2.9-3.1 bookings quoted at 47-51.

Martin Atkinson will blow the whistle for the game between the two most successful clubs in English football.

Recommendation
Buy Oldham v Bury goals
At 2.6 Sporting Index
