Match preview

Barnsley and Swansea will be pretty pleased with the first half of their Championship seasons and both have won four of their last six games before Saturday's meeting at Oakwell.

Barnsley are ninth, which is no mean achievement for a team who secured safety with virtually the final kick of last season, while Steve Cooper's Swans have leaders Norwich firmly in their sights.

The Tykes have won their last three home matches but will have to break through the second tier's toughest defence - Swansea have conceded just 13 goals all season so a tight affair looks likely.

Swansea's 2-1 win over Watford last time out was only the second time in their last seven league games that they failed to keep a clean sheet, so it could be that this pair of contenders prove hard to separate.

Key stat

Sixteen of Swansea's last 18 Championship matches have featured fewer than three goals
