FC Dallas and LA Galaxy have made underwhelming starts to the MLS season but they have shown glimpses of quality in the final third and can both find the net in an entertaining game at the Toyota Stadium.

The hosts have scored in each of their eight matches this season while Galaxy’s last three encounters have featured a combined 12 goals, with Sigi Schmid’s men having fallen to 3-2 defeats to New York Red Bulls and Houston Dynamo in their last two.

Having lost just one MLS game this year, Dallas have performed better than their Los Angeles counterparts in the league but will be wary of facing an attack which includes Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Giovani dos Santos and former Marseille forward Romain Alessandrini.

Both outfits have pace to burn in the final third and can capitalise on the opposing ageing defences.

LA Galaxy’s Ashley Cole and Michael Ciani racked up plenty of top-level experience in Europe but could be pressed into submission by speedy Dallas duo Roland Lamah and Maxi Urruti, who are joint-top scorers for the club with three goals each.

Despite making a scintillating MLS debut for the Galaxy, Ibrahimovic is on a three-match goalless streak but the Swede is not one to disappoint for long and will be eager to net in a fixture that featured nine goals in 2017.

Recommendation
Both teams to score
2pts 8-13 general
