Alejandro Garnacho has been unhappy with the bit-part role he has played since Ruben Amorim was appointed as Manchester United manager and, with the Portuguese boss insisting that Garnacho is not involved in his future plans, the Argentinian international appears set to depart Old Trafford this summer.

Garnacho was especially upset that he got just 20 minutes of action from the substitutes' bench in the Europa League final defeat to Tottenham, having played every game in the competition until that point.

However, still only 20 and having already made 93 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils, there should be no lack of interest in the quick-dribbling winger.

Garnacho, who came through Manchester United's academy set-up having arrived from Spain in 2020, has 26 goals and 22 assists in 144 matches for the club and has already been capped on eight occasions by Argentina.

Able to create something from nothing, Garnacho has the ability to go all the way to the top providing that he can find the work-rate and endeavour to match his natural talent.

Where will Alejandro Garnacho be after the summer transfer window?

Given the European experience he possesses for one so young, there are sure to plenty of teams interested in capturing the signature of attack-minded wide man Garnacho, whose 58 appearances in all competitions this season yielded 11 goals and ten assists.

That is despite Manchester United finishing as low as 15th in the Premier League standings and plenty will feel that he can do even more damage is a side with greater quality.

A move to a club with European commitments next season is likely to be the lure for Garnacho, who has also hinted that he would like to stay put in the Premier League.

That is why big-spending Chelsea, who have qualified for next season's Champions League, are favourites and they were strongly linked with the winger in January.

United have reportedly set a price of £70m for Garnacho but Chelsea have shown in recent seasons that they don't mind mind splashing the cash. With Joao Felix, Raheem Sterling and Jadon Sancho all set to leave Stamford Bridge, it could open the door for the Blues.

ClubBest odds
Chelsea6-4After an offer for Dortmund's Jamie Gittens was rejected, Chelsea could turn their attention to Garnacho. The Argentinian wants to remain in the Premier League, and Champions League football could tempt him to London.
Atletico Madrid
5-2
He came through the young ranks at Atletico, and Diego Simeone is an admirer. The Spanish side would have no problems in meeting Garnacho’s demands and there are already a number of Argentinian players in their squad.
Napoli
5-1Had two bids rejected for Garnacho in January. Scott McTominay made a huge impact after signing from Manchester United, so the Serie A champions could look for another Old Trafford raid.
Bayer Leverkusen
6-1Garnacho could link up with former boss Erik ten Hag in Germany. Leverkusen's bank balance is set to be significantly boosted by Florian Wirtz’s Liverpool move.
Aston Villa

Having revitalised Marcus Rashford last season, the Villans could target Garnacho if Morgan Rogers leaves the club. The 20-year-old would be an option if PSR regulations don't prove a stumbling block.
Any Saudi club
18-1Saudi clubs are not short on cash and will be able to offer him astronomical wages, but, given his age, Garnacho is likely to prefer to stay in Europe.

Outside bets to be Alejandro Garnacho's next club

Tottenham, who defeated Garnacho's Manchester United team in the Europa League final, are reportedly keeping tabs on the winger as new manager Thomas Frank bids to strengthen his side.

Spurs are 20-1 to sign Garnacho, although making the signing of Mathys Tel from Bayern permanent would be a potential stumbling block.

Having qualified for next season's Champions League, 28-1 shots Newcastle could be potential suitors. Manager Eddie Howe is keen to bolster their attack, with a focus on adding a wide forward to support star striker Alexander Isak.

Garnacho sounds keen on a Premier League stay but reports suggest Milan, on offer at 20-1, would be open to compete with other high-profile clubs for the Argentinian's signature.

Our verdict: Stamford Bridge looks the most likely destination

Staying in England appears to be top priority for Garnacho, along with European football, so Chelsea tick plenty of boxes after qualifying for the Champions League.

The Blues like to recruit young talent with proven Premier League pedigree and, with Jadon Sancho, Raheem Sterling and Joao Felix unlikely to extend their stay in London, there is room for them to add another attacking player.

Noni Madueke and Pedro Neto are both at their best on the right wing but Garnacho would be more suited to player on the left flank, something manager Enzo Maresca may be tempted by. Still only 20, Garnacho's potential is endless and if treated in the right way could be a big hit at Stamford Bridge.

Market movers

Having been odds-on in a place at the end of last week to secure Garnacho's services, Chelsea are now as big as 6-4, although they remain clear favourites given they seemingly have the resources required.

Napoli have also been on the drift from odds-on quotes at the start of the month out to a current price of 5-1, leaving Bayer Leverkusen as the team for money and they are as short as 9-2 to be Garnacho's next club with a few firms.
