1 Faith in Jesus is likely to be repaid
Gabriel Jesus started his Manchester City career in a blaze of glory but a combination of Sergio Aguero being Pep Guardiola's first-choice striker and niggling injuries saw the Brazilian's career stall at the Etihad. However, his brilliant brace in the 3-1 win over Everton on Saturday suggests he could be back on the up.

Living in Aguero's shadow can't be easy for the 21-year-old who had a disappointing World Cup but he looks to have the faith of the City boss and he has the tools to repay it when called upon.

Aguero, when fit, remains the main man for City but Jesus - who scored a hat-trick against Shakhtar in the Champions League in November - is an excellent back-up for the Argentinian superstar.

2 Mourinho or Pogba will have to go
Manchester United were thumped 3-1 by Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday but Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho chose to leave his star midfielder Paul Pogba on the bench.

To not be able to trust your most valuable asset in one of the biggest games of the season is astonishing and it suggests the pair’s relationship is completely broken. One of them will likely have to leave if things are to improve at Old Trafford.

Mourinho is back at the top of the next manager to go market and big decisions need to be made in the United boardroom.

3 Saints alive if they can match Arsenal performance
Southampton scored three goals in a Premier League match for the first time since February in their thrilling 3-2 win over Arsenal on Sunday and if they can repeat that kind of performance in the next few weeks they can ease themselves away from danger.

The St Mary's win lifted Saints out of the bottom three and the attacking display they produced shows they have plenty of potential under new manager Ralph Hasenhuttl, who looks to have instilled a never-say-die attitude in the side in his short time at the club.

Southampton, who were 3-1 for victory over the Gunners, could easily have settled for a point with the score at 2-2 with just five minutes remaining but the fact they pushed on for a vital victory bodes well for the future.

4 Tigers may not be endangered species after all
Hull's future in the Sky Bet Championship looked to be in grave danger at the end of October as the toothless Tigers were bottom of the table following a run of one win in ten games.

Since then Nigel Adkins men have picked up four wins and three draws in their last eight matches with their only defeat a 2-0 loss at home to highflying Nottingham Forest.

Saturday's 2-0 win at home to fellow strugglers Brentford was a crucial victory in which Hull went off as underdogs and they could be worth supporting in the next few weeks as four of their next six fixtures are against teams who are currently in the bottom half of the table.

5 League Two relegation scrap likely to be lively
The current bottom three sides in Sky Bet League Two have all changed managers in recent weeks and following wins for Macclesfield and Notts County on Saturday things look very interesting at the bottom of the Football League.

Macc are just four points adrift of safety after handing Sol Campbell his first win against Crawley, while County got the better of Tranmere 3-2 at Meadow Lane for their new chief Neal Ardley.

Cambridge, however, could only draw 0-0 at home to lowly Yeovil and new gaffer Mark Bonner has a huge job on his hands at the Abbey Stadium. There are worse bets around than the 8-1 about United going down.
